Ingredients
8 slices sandwich bread (white, wheat, or sourdough) 8 ounces sliced turkey breast 4 slices Swiss cheese 4 slices cheddar cheese 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional) 2 tablespoons butter, softened 4 tomato slices (optional) Lettuce leaves (optional)
Directions
Step 1 โ Prepare the Bread Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard if using. Step 2 โ Assemble the Sandwiches Layer turkey slices evenly on 4 bread slices. Add Swiss cheese and cheddar cheese. Add tomato slices if desired. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out. Step 3 โ Cook the Melt Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for 3โ4 minutes per side until golden brown. Press lightly with a spatula while cooking. Continue until cheese is completely melted. Step 4 โ Serve Remove from skillet and let rest for 1 minute. Slice in half and serve warm.
