Sweet Tangy BBQ Wing Sauce using what you have. It will have a little Hawaiian-style sweet-and-savory flavor without needing pineapple.

Ingredients

Enough for about 2½–3 pounds of wings.

½ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons Olive Garden Italian dressing
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon yellow or Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon pickle juice
2 tablespoons finely grated or minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon cayenne or red pepper flakes, optional
1 teaspoon brown sugar or honey, optional for extra sweetness
*For a stronger onion flavor, sauté the minced onion for a few minutes before mixing it into the sauce.

Directions

Mix everything together. Taste it before adding the chicken. For more sweetness, add a little brown sugar; for more tang, add another teaspoon of mustard or pickle juice.

Pat the wings dry and season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss them with about one-third of the sauce, just enough to coat them lightly.

Cook the wings:

Air fryer: 390°F for 20–24 minutes
Oven: 425°F for 40–45 minutes
Grill: Medium heat for about 20–25 minutes

Turn them halfway through cooking. Toss the fully cooked wings in the remaining sauce, then cook another 3–5 minutes to make the coating sticky.
